Day of the Purifying Flame

This Ritual celebrates the great Goddess Sekhmet and focuses on consecrating new Ritual tools for all members. On your Altar should be a statue of the great Goddess Sekhmet and a red altar candle.

Cast Sacred Space in your normal manner, with Hathor replacing Sekhmet as a Cardinal Point Goddess. Each CPH should have a large amount of their elemental representation.
A bucket of salt at the North
Large incense sticks at the East
A small fire in the BBQ grill at the South
A bucket of spring water at the West

Each participating member holding their own tool, takes it to each Cardinal Point, beginning at the North, to be purified by the elements and blessed by the Gods and Goddesses. At the North, the NCPH takes the tool and holds it over the bucket of salt, Pouring handfuls of the salt over the tool while saying:
Let the spirit of Earth
Purify this tool

The NCPH then raises the tool to the skies and says:

Hear me, Great God Osiris and Great Goddess Isis.
Bless this tool for the work
Which we do in your name.

The NCPH hands the tool back to the member, who walks to the East. At the East, the ECPH takes the tool and holds it over the burning incense, passing the tool through the smoke, while saying:

Let the spirit of Air
Purify this tool

The ECPH then raises the tools to the skies and says:

Hear me, Great God Ra and great Goddess Bast.
Bless this tool for the work
Which we do in your name.

At the South, the SCPH takes the tool and holds it over the burning coals of the small fire, while saying:

Let the spirit of Fire
Purify this tool

The SCPH then raises the tools to the skies and says:

Hear me, Great God Set and Great Goddess Hathor.
Bless this tool for the work
Which we do in your name.

At the West, the WCPH takes the tool and holds it over the bucket of water, Dunking the tool into the water, or sprinkling it if water will damage the tool, while saying:

Let the spirit of Water
Purify this tool

The WCPH then raises the tools to the skies and says:

Hear me, Great God Thoth and Great Goddess Neith.
Bless this tool for the work
Which we do in your name.

The WCPH hands the tool back to the owner, who walks to stand in front of the altar. They place the tool on the altar and bow to the Great Goddess Sekhmet, while silently asking Sekhmet to bless the tool(s). They then take the tool and sit quietly until everyone has finished. Then everyone stands in a circle around the balefire, and the HP and HPS consecrate the tools to the service of the Temple in the following manner.

HP says:
These tools are extensions of our will.
Our tools, with our Gods, are to be used
For the benefit of the Temple.

HPS says:
In everything we do, we keep in mind the Law of Three.
Whatever you bring forth on this world
Will return to you three fold.

Everyone raises their tools towards the skies in their receiving or non power hand. (The one you do not write with)

HP says:
We ask all the Great Gods and Great Goddesses
To know and to empower
These tools for our use.

HPS says:
We thank the Great Gods and Goddesses
For their never ending blessings upon us,
Our tools and our Temple.

Close your circle and clean up any mess you might have made.
