Informal Circle Casting
To a Specific Deity

A wonderful way to create Sacred Space for those who are handicapped or have difficulty walking. It is also appropriate for casting protective space for spell working or for any informal Ritual.

On your altar, place the following items:
Altar Candle
Sword
Athame
Wand
Incense
Incense Burner
Red Candle
2 candle holders
Salt
Salt Dish
Spring Water
Vase or seashell
Chalice

When you are ready to begin, take 3 slow deep breaths and clear your mind. Close your eyes and focus on the Great God/dess _____________. Visualize him/her sending a protective circle around you and the space you are in.

Open your eyes and place some salt into a dish. Add some powdered incense, then light the red candle and place three drops of wax into the dish, along with a few drops of spring water. Mix it well with your wand and scatter half of it upon the ground around you, or sprinkle it, clockwise, around the edges of your circle. While you are doing this, welcome your chosen Deity with the following words or something similar:

“I call to the Great God/des ____________________
and ask that s/he join me in this place.”

Repeat three times.

Light the altar candle and visualize the God/dess walking into your circle. Recite:

“Great God/des, welcome to this Temple.
I ask that you assist me in the work
I am about to do.”

Begin the Ritual or work you have planned.

Closing and Grounding

Stand at your altar and raise your arms. Recite:

“Great God/dess_______________, I thank you
For joining me and helping me.
May your name live forever
In the hearts of all mankind.”

Sprinkle the last of the salt mixture over the ground around the altar, or counterclockwise around the perimeter of your Temple, while saying:

“I release these energies gathered here.
May they be absorbed back into the planet
To continue the great works of magic.”

Imagine your energies dissolving into the ground, leaving you with only your normal energy levels left.

April 29th - Beltaine celebration beginning at 7:00 p.m.

June 20 - 25 - Second annual Trial of Set game!

June 24 - Midsummer celebration beginning at Noon and lasting until 11:00 p.m. Main ritual begins at 6:00 p.m.

September 22 - 24 - Autumn Equinox Celebration. Main Ritual will be on the 23rd beginning at 7:00 p.m.

October 26 - 29 - Harvest celebration. Main Ritual will be on the 28th, beginning at 7:00 p.m.
