Evening Rededication Ritual

This ritual is to be used by anyone wishing to dedicate or rededicate their souls to the Great Goddess Bast.

5 Statues of Bast	Green Altar Candle

Bowl of Salt	Green North CP Candle
Incense	Yellow East CP Candle
Red Candle	Red CP Candle
Seashell with spring water	Blue CP Candle
Personal Gown & Robe	Personal Staff

Temple and Altar Setup

The following things should have already been done, before you begin your ritual:
The Altar should contain the Temple Wand, Athame, Ankh and Pyramid Box.
The Book Stand should contain the Temple BOS and a candle snuffer.
The work table should be set up with the usual tools and supplies used during all rituals.
The feast table should be set up with all the statues of all the Gods and Goddesses.
The Cardinal Points should be set up with the elemental representations and the CP candles.

You will do the following preparations:
Place the main statue of Bast upon the altar, at the back, in the center.
In front of the statue, place the green altar candle.
On each cardinal point, place a statue of Bast.

Don your ritual clothes and clear your mind to prepare yourself for this ritual.

Light the Altar candle and take it to the North Cardinal Point, placing a drop of wax into the bowl of salt. Place the altar candle on the pedestal and pick up the bowl of salt.

Calling the Quarters

At the North, hold up the bowl of salt and recite:

I spread this salt of our earth
Upon the ground to set the boundaries
Of this Sacred Space
No evil may cross my mark.

Sprinkle the salt around the perimeter of the Temple, beginning and ending at the North. Place the salt next to the north candle and pick up the Altar candle, then walk to the East Cardinal Point. Use the altar candle to light the incense. Place the altar candle on the pedestal and pick up the incense burner, hold it up then recite:

I light this incense
So that its’ smoke
May be used as a pathway
To conduct our prayers
To the Gods ears.

Walk with the burning incense around the perimeter of your Sacred Space, beginning and ending at the East. Place the incense burner back on the pedestal and pick up the altar candle, then continue on to the South Cardinal Point. Use the altar candle to light the red CP Candle, place the altar candle on the pedestal and hold the CP candle high, then recite:

This fire honors all Gods and Goddesses
May their names be praised on this night
Maiden Mother Crone
Heir Pharaoh God
All are worshipped at this site.

Walk with the candle around the perimeter of the Sacred Space, beginning and ending at the South. Place this candle back on the pedestal and pick up the altar candle, and continue on to the West Cardinal Point. Place a drop of wax into the water, and place the altar candle on the pedestal. Pick up the seashell and hold it high, then recite:

From this water all life flows
From the beginning to the end
As was then, make it now within this place
Seal our souls within Sacred Space.

Sprinkle the water around the perimeter of the Sacred Space beginning and ending at the West. Place the seashell on the pedestal, pick up the altar candle and go to the North CP.

Welcoming the Goddess

Use the altar candle to light the green CP candle, bow and raise your arms and recite:

I call to the Great Goddess Bast
As Goddess of Health, Healing and happiness
Bring the soil of rebirth into this circle
To witness my words.

Move to the East and light the Yellow CP candle with the altar candle, bow and raise your arms and recite:

I call to the Great Goddess Bast
As Lady of the East and the Eye of Ra
Bring the winds of change into this circle
To witness my words.

Move to the South and light the red CP Candle with the altar candle, bow and raise your arms and recite:

I call to the Great Goddess Bast
As The Tearer, and Destroyer of Apophis
Bring the flames of passion into this circle
To witness my words.

Move to the West and light the blue CP Candle with the altar candle, bow and raise your arms and recite:

I call to the Great Goddess Bast
As the Lady of the West and Goddess of Joy
Bring the waters of peace into this circle
To witness my words.

Move to the altar, and place the altar candle in front of the Goddess. Bow deeply, then raise your arms and recite:

I welcome the great Goddess Bast
And all her energies, as Mother of my soul
Bring your love into the circle
And witness my words.

Fill the Chalice with wine, and place two cakes on a plate and place them on the Altar. Close your eyes and take three slow deep breaths to prepare yourself for the Ritual of Rededication.

Re-Dedication Ritual

Kneel before the Altar, raise your arms and recite:

I acknowledge before these energies
and before these witnesses
That I am your servant, your Priestess,
and daughter of your creation.
Through your teaching, my soul has grown.
Throughout the years and throughout the lifetimes
My soul has endured, you have sustained me.
May I continue to grow and to learn within your love
And May my soul whisper your name for eternity.

Stand and raise the chalice high, recite:

With the fruit of this earth,
I seal my soul within your care.

Take a drink from the chalice and pour the rest upon the ground in front of the altar. Pick up the cake and recite:

And with the grain of this earth
I honor your gifts.

Take a bite of the cake and crumble the rest upon the ground in front of the Altar, then raise your hands and say in firm, clear voice:

May all Gods, all energies of this realm, and all of mankind
Know these words as truth.
My Heart, my Mind and my Soul
I give to the Great Goddess Bast in praise.

Bow deeply to the Goddess once more, then pick up the candle snuffer and move to the West CP. Snuff out the candle and say:

I release the energies of water
Thank you for your presence.

Move to the South CP, snuff out both candles and say:

I release the energies of fire.
Thank you for your presence.

Move to the East CP, snuff out the candle and say:

I release the energies of air.
Thank you for your presence.

Move to the North CP, snuff out the candle and say:

I release the energies of earth.
Thank you for your presence.

Move back to the Altar and snuff out the Altar Candle, then place both of your hands upon the altar stone and say:

I release all energies within this circle,
And Thank the Great Goddess Bast for her love for me.

Imagine the energies you raised for the ritual flowing from your hands into the altar stone, returning your energy levels to normal. The Ritual is ended. Place the statues of Bast, and the Altar candle upon the table with the other statues, and leave the Temple.

June 24 - Midsummer celebration beginning at Noon and lasting until 11:00 p.m. Main ritual begins at 6:00 p.m.

September 22 - 24 - Autumn Equinox Celebration. Main Ritual will be on the 23rd beginning at 7:00 p.m.

October 26 - 29 - Harvest celebration. Main Ritual will be on the 28th, beginning at 7:00 p.m.
