Rededication Ritual for the Great God Anubis

This ritual has been written for use in dedicating or rededicating your soul to the Great God Anubis. This ritual should take place at night, in a quiet place, which is still wild, and not within your Temple.

Tool & Supply List
4 tiki torches filled with fuel	Balefire
Black candle	Candle holder
Statue of Anubis	Chalice of wine or juice
Plate of Bread	Blanket
Bowl of Salt

Preparations

Place the tiki torches at each of the cardinal points within your area.
Lay the wood for the balefire within the firepit.
Decide where you wish to sit for this ritual and spread the blanket out.
Place the chalice, black candle and bread in the center of the blanket. A small table or flat rock is recommended to use or you may wish to build a small altar to one side of your blanket.
When everything is in place, sprinkle the salt all around your circle.
This ritual is different in that you do not need to cast sacred space, and you will use more visualization than a normal ritual uses.

Calm your mind and empty it of all thoughts, except those of Anubis.

Rededication Ritual

Close your eyes and take three slow, deep breaths. Open your eyes and light the black candle. Use the candle to light the tiki torches, beginning at the West and working clockwise. At each cardinal point, as you light the torch, Say:
Come to me Great God Anubis
Enter this place and show me your wonders.

Listen to the world around you, as you gaze upon the statue of Anubis. Do you hear footsteps or a rustling of leaves? When you do, use the candle to light the balefire. Sit back and visualize the Great God Anubis standing at the western edge of your space. Say:

Welcome God of the hidden mysteries.
Master of the darkness
Please join me

Watch as he walks towards you and sits down on the blanket. Offer him the chalice and plate of bread. Say:

You who have watched
And guided me from the shadows
Are always welcome in my soul.
I thank you for your gifts.

Now, sit back, relax and have a conversation, or simply watch the balefire and allow his words to enter your mind.

When you believe it is time, visualize the great God standing and walking away to the west. Put out your balefire and torches. Snuff out the candle and clean up any mess you have made.

The Ritual is finished.

October 26 - 29 - Harvest celebration. Main Ritual will be on the 28th, beginning at 7:00 p.m.
